Terms of Service
Effective 6 September 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the-strategy-stack.com and the Operator Vault operated by The Strategy Stack (Alex Pawlowski). By using the site, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
The Strategy Stack provides educational content, strategy frameworks, printable cheat sheets and canvases (Operator Vault), publication materials, and information about advisory and speaking services. We may update, add, or remove content at any time.
Advisory, consulting, and speaking engagements are subject to separate written agreements. Nothing on this website creates a client relationship until both parties agree in writing.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use this site. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws.
3. Accounts and Vault access
Most Operator Vault cheat sheets are available as free instant PDF downloads. Some assets require an active paid subscription to The Strategy Stack publication on Substack. Paid access uses email-based magic-link login; you must not share login links or attempt to circumvent access controls.
Subscription billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Substack under its terms. We may revoke access if we reasonably believe your subscription is inactive, fraudulent, or abusive.
4. Intellectual property
All content on the-strategy-stack.com, including text, graphics, frameworks, PDFs, thumbnails, and branding, is owned by The Strategy Stack or its licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- Free downloads. You may download and use free PDFs for your own internal business, workshop, and educational purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish the files or substantial excerpts as standalone products.
- Paid downloads. Paid subscriber assets are licensed for your personal or organizational use while your subscription is active, under the same restrictions on resale and redistribution unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Attribution. When sharing ideas inspired by our frameworks, we appreciate attribution to The Strategy Stack; it is not required for private internal use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site unlawfully or in a way that harms others or our infrastructure.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or mirror the Vault catalog except through normal browsing.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, authentication, or download restrictions.
- Upload malware, spam our contact form, or impersonate others.
- Misrepresent affiliation with The Strategy Stack.
6. Contact form
When you submit the contact form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you consent to us using it to respond to your inquiry, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party links and services
The site links to third parties (including Substack, book retailers, and event organizers). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer
Content on The Strategy Stack is for general informational and educational purposes. It is not legal, financial, investment, or professional advice. Frameworks and cheat sheets are tools to support your judgment, not substitutes for it. You are solely responsible for decisions you make using our materials.
The site and all content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Strategy Stack and Alex Pawlowski shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or downloads. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site shall not exceed the amount you paid us directly for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred euros (€100) if no such payment was made.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Strategy Stack and Alex Pawlowski from claims arising out of your misuse of the site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
11. Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes may be noted on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of Germany, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
